Air Fryer Garlic Bread
Hello, hello. Welcome back to my food blog, YangYummm, where I talk about one of the most important things in the world: food! Let’s keep on rolling with the Air Fryer April series of recipes, shall we?
Today we have a nice and easy.. Air Fryer Garlic Bread! It’s fun, it’s humble, it’s simply delicious. It only requires a few ingredients to make. Best of all? It takes less than 10 minutes! How about that? Let’s dive in, yeah?
My Air Fryer Garlic Bread Recipe:
Using an air fryer to cook garlic bread is such an awesome idea. Traditionally, you would bake/toast the bread in a convection or toaster oven. Now that the Air Fryer has arrived in town? Sorry, Mr. Oven! Helloo, Air Fryer.
My garlic bread recipe is so easy & lightning fast to make. It’ll only take you 3-4 minutes in the Air Fryer for half a loaf (perfect for a weeknight side dish for 2).
What I love about this dish is that you can pair it with so many other entrees, especially pasta (or my Fusion recipes). What I love even MORE about it is that you can even eat it on its own as a snack or an appetizer. I love to just snack on some bomb garlic bread from time to time. It’s a guilty pleasure of mine. Haha.

Variations
My Air Fryer Garlic Bread is so simple to make and only requires a handful of ingredients. I’m sure there are infinite possibilities/variations for this amazing dish. But, let me list the essentials.. You’ll need:
- Italian Baguette (or any other bread you like)
- Unsalted Butter (or extra virgin olive oil is fine too)
- Minced garlic (if you don’t have fresh garlic, don’t sweat. See my “Ingredients” tab down below)
- Parsley (fresh or dried)
That’s basically it! The rest is OPTIONAL. I added these ingredients to make the garlic bread extra flavorful and delicious. But they’re not absolutely needed.
- Parmesan Cheese
- Italian Seasoning
- Crushed Red Peppers
What variations do you like to make? Let me know in the comments below!
Can I make a larger batch?
Yes! By all means, if you invested in a larger air fryer, like a Ninja 10-Qt Double Basket Air Fryer, then of course you can double down and cook the full loaf in one shot! (I can only fit half a loaf at a time in my Emerald 5.2L 1800W Air Fryer). Just make sure to keep an eye on the bread (You may or may not have to add an extra minute.. use your judgment on how crispy you like it)
What if I don’t have an Air Fryer?
No sweat! You can just use a traditional oven to make garlic bread as well. The only disadvantage is that it’ll take slightly longer (have to preheat the oven as well).
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place garlic bread on top
- Place baking sheet into the center of the oven and close door
- Cook at 425 for 6-8 minutes, keeping an eye on it at the last 2 minutes so as not to burn (depends on the bread you use!)
Can I save it for later?
Yes, you absolutely can! That’s one of the things that I LOVE about making garlic bread. I can make it in advance and either store it in the refrigerator to eat later in the day (if incorporating dairy ingredients) or I can freeze it and save it for another time. I like storing mine in a Ziploc freezer bag, making sure to push as much air out of the bag as possible. It should keep well for up to 5 days in the fridge and much longer in the freezer.
In order to cook air fryer frozen garlic bread, simply place the bread in the air fryer basket the same way as you normally would and cook on 400 for 2-3 minutes.
This Air Fryer Garlic Bread is simply the best. Sure, you’ll find ways to make it differently. But that’s the beauty of it! Just like with any other toasted bread recipe, you can adjust the time according to your taste preference (whether you like it softer or crunchier). I have all the faith and confidence in the world that you’ll find a way to pair it PERFECTLY with some stunning pastas, soups or stews. The possibilities are endless. Air Fryer Garlic Bread for the win. Let’s get it!
Italian Baguette – I like using either Italian bread or French bread for this recipe. But you may use any other bread you like!
Unsalted Butter – the fat that provides the flavor! (you may substitute with extra virgin olive oil)
Garlic – for aromatic flavor (star ingredient)
Parsley – for garnish (you may use fresh or dried)
Parmesan Cheese (OPTIONAL) – for extra salty and delicious flavor
Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (OPTIONAL) – for seasoning and slightly spicy kick
Italian Seasoning – I love the added aromatic flavor that comes with this seasoning
Here’s a list of my recipes that would pair well with this bread:
