- 1 lb Bulgogi beef, raw marinated & thinly sliced (may use pork or other meats and may buy pre-sliced and pre-marinated from store)
- 2 Hoagie Buns (may use french baguette or hero rolls)
- ¼ cup Kimchi, roughly chopped
- 1 (4oz) small onion, thinly sliced
- 2-3 scallions, chopped into 1" pieces
- 6 slices provolone cheese (may swap or mix with other cheeses)
- 1-2 tbsp unsalted butter
- Salt & Pepper, to taste
- Sesame seeds, for garnish (OPTIONAL)
Toast your hoagie buns first on a nonstick skillet with some melted unsalted butter. Set aside.
Heat up a nonstick skillet on medium-high heat and saute your marinated bulgogi for about 3-5 minutes (flipping halfway to cook each side). About 1 minute before finishing, add in your chopped kimchi and cook together for about 2 more minutes.
Add in your scallions and provolone cheese and cover with lid. Lower heat to med-low and cook for about 1 minute until cheese is fully melted. Then, remove from heat.
Assemble your sandwich: Open your toasted hoagie buns. Place your bulgogi and kimchi stir fry on top with the melted cheese. Finish with sesame seeds and enjoy! Yummmy!
- Feel free to add on some more toppings like: Truff mayo, hot sauce, pickled jalapenos, sliced mushrooms, peppers, lettuce and tomato.
